A successful Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) must be passionate about healthcare and want to make a difference in the lives of others while acting as a mission-driven catalyst to help Livingston Community Health (LCH) deliver the best quality of care and excellent service to our patients and their families.
The CAO serves as part of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and contributes to executive decision making by providing input in areas of expertise.
The CAO works in collaboration with the CEO, ELT, and the Leadership team to improve infrastructure with the delivery of quality healthcare services.
Directly oversees the Facilities Department, construction projects, and special projects.
Interacts with outside organizations as a spokesperson regarding matters affecting LCH.
Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines related to licensure in the industry.
*Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:*
* Primary in the development of current and long-term organizational goals and objectives as well as policies and procedures for LCH development.
Establish plans to achieve goals and implement policies, set by the Board of Directors.
* Uses appropriate interpersonal skills to guide staff members to accomplish objectives; facilitate teamwork, participation, and cooperation.
Fosters a work environment in which subordinates can develop.
Provides necessary resources and guidance.
* Provides oversight and direction to the Facilities Department.
Assures compliance with corporate goals, programs, policies and procedures.
* Lead capital projects for growth, expansion, and revision at existing and new health clinics.
* Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance across the organization that support relevant regulatory and licensure requirements.
* Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas of non-compliance and implement corrective action plans as necessary.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for all regulatory agencies, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of required information.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations and licensure requirements and changes; communicate timely to all changes to appropriate stakeholders.
* Interacts with other personnel and outside organizations regarding matters affecting LCH.
* Makes recommendations to the Board, as appropriate; negotiates terms/services and executes contracts with suppliers service vendors, and auditors.
* Enhances patient care outcomes, decreases costs, and improves patient satisfaction.
* Supports the overall needs of the health clinics by working flexible or extended hours when necessary.
* Supports the needs of LCH by traveling to all clinic sites as needed.
* Demonstrates competence with the mission, vision, and values of the organization to provide quality healthcare to those served in the community.
* Contributes as part of the leadership team by promoting positive staff interactions maintains open communication with other programs and departments.
*Education/Experience Required:*
* Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration or a related field.
* A minimum 5-7 years experience in healthcare leadership including 4 years experience in a health center environment.
FQHC knowledge and experience preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $263,530.
