Recycling Driver - Yosemite National Park

Job Description The Recycling Driver is the critical position to keep Yosemite working while making sure operational impact on the environment stays at a minimum.
Driver II staff will be trained as Non-CDL DOT drivers and required to drive vehicles ranging from full-size pick-up trucks to 12- and 16-foot box trucks.
Drivers are assigned routes throughout the park that provide time being outdoors and enjoying the majestic views Yosemite has to offer.
These routes will be broken into servicing cardboard recycling, back dock recycling and residential recycling stops.
Drivers in this position are required to be 21 years or older and have a class C license for 3 years minimum while operating in an efficient, consistent, safe, and timely manner.
COMPENSATION: The hourly rate for this position ranges from $16.
40 to $16.
65, depending on circumstances including an applicant?s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors.
Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
This is Aramark?s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this position as of the time of posting.
Job Responsibilities ? Must complete a daily vehicle inspection form prior to driving and after finishing their route.
? Responsible for clearing all recycling bins/storage rooms/areas and cardboard stations at designated YH properties.
? Ensure proper sorting and collection when on route.
? Must be able to load and unload all S&E vehicles with property specific cardboard racks.
? Assist in cleaning and properly storing all waste & recycling bins and buckets.
? Document and record the number of cardboard racks picked up from each property ? Maintain a positive attitude in high stress situations ? Go the extra mile and follow through to ensure guest satisfaction ? Must be able to work with diverse populations in a supportive and positive manner ? Will be required to receive Non-CDL DOT Certification ? Follows Yosemite Hospitality?s Sustainability and Environmental Policy ? Follows all Aramark safety policies and procedures.
? Will be required to work in inclement weather.
Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of the Sustainability and Environmental Manager.
? Drivers are required to drive defensively, safely, and cautiously in all situations ? Exceptional customer service skills are needed when encountering guests; to ensure a good positive representation of is always demonstrated ? May have to lift items weighing up to 80 lbs.

Qualifications ? Must be age 21 years or older ? Must be able to communicate effectively in written and spoken English ? Must have a valid Class C Driver License with a clean driving record showing 3 years of prior safe driving ? Must pass a DOT physical examination and obtain a medical card Equipment Used: Company Vehicle, Walkie-Talkie, Hand Truck, Computer, Hand Truck, Photocopier, Printer, Telephone Travel Requirements: Little or no travel required (less than 10%) Physical Requirements: ? MEDIUM - Lifting 80 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
This role will have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing.
This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
