As a Facility Maintenance Mechanic at our Cherry Packing Facility, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and machinery.
Your primary responsibilities will include performing basic mechanical duties such as lubricating, cleaning, and maintaining water levels in various equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure efficient production.
The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently to keep our facility running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment, including lubricating moving parts, cleaning components, and checking fluid levels.
Inspect equipment for signs of wear or damage and report any issues to supervisors for further evaluation and repair.
Follow maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure that all equipment is properly serviced and maintained.
Preventive Maintenance:
Conduct preventive maintenance activities to identify and address potential issues before they escalate into major problems.
Perform inspections and tests on equipment to identify areas for improvement and implement preventive maintenance measures as needed.
Keep detailed records of preventive maintenance tasks and equipment performance for reference and analysis.
Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues that arise during equipment operation.
Identify root causes of problems and implement corrective actions to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
Coordinate with other maintenance personnel and external service providers as needed to address complex or specialized maintenance needs.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing maintenance activities.
Ensure that all equipment is maintained in compliance with regulatory requirements and manufacturer recommendations.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in mechanical or industrial maintenance preferred.
Proven experience as a mechanic or maintenance technician, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in diagnosing and repairing industrial equipment.
Knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and pumps.
Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings.
Effective communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
